HOW TO GET HERE

By Car

The Village of Alne is 12 miles north of York. From the York ring road A1237 take the A19 for Thirsk. The left turning to Alne  is situated approximately a quarter of a mile before the exit for Easingwold the nearby markettown. Follow the road called Forest lane for 1.5 miles over the rail bridge and then left at the crossroads. Continue to  the village past The Bluebell Pub to the exit into Jack Hole opposite the Village Hall. The Orchard in Alne is directly opposite and situated at the rear of the house Orchard Close.​

 

By Public Transport

The Orchard in Alne can be reached via bus from York between 9am and 5.30pm each day. The service is run by Reliance departing 100 metres from York rail station or Exhibition Square. The bus stops within 50 metres and ask for the Blue Bell stop.
